Rocky Ridge Boarding School

The Residential Program at Rocky Ridge Boarding School provides a supportive and enriching environment for students living on campus. Designed to promote academic success, cultural connection, physical wellness, and personal growth,  our program offers comprehensive support to help students thrive.

Behavioral Health Program

While Rocky Ridge Boarding School does not have a full-time residential counselor, we partner with professional counseling services to support students on a referral basis throughout the academic year. Additionally, the school counselor works with residential students during school hours and after school, ensuring access to the behavioral health support they need.

Tutoring Program

Our tutoring program is designed to assist dormitory students in overcoming academic challenges and building confidence. Key features include:

  • Daily Study Hour: This time is scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and provides a dedicated time for homework and reading. Residential staff are available to help; some teachers volunteer their time for additional support.
  • Focus on Success: Students receive guidance to excel inside and outside the classroom.
  • Resources: Internet access is available to support research and study needs.

Native Language and Culture Program

Our residential staff provides activities that strengthen cultural identity and appreciation. Program highlights include:

  • Lessons on clanship, traditional stories, arts and crafts, and Navajo language development.
  • Support for cultural club activities.
  • Instruction from staff fluent in Navajo, incorporating personal cultural knowledge and structured curriculum to help students explore their heritage.

  • Sports, Play, Active, and Recreation for Kids Program: Focused on fitness, teamwork, and skill-building.
  • Wellness Education: Lessons on nutrition, self-care, and positive peer interactions.
